Green Dotter for Mac

Free mouse jiggler and auto clicker. Keeps your Mac awake, pauses when you touch the mouse.

Green Dotter keeps your Mac awake and stops you dropping to idle while you're still at your desk. It's free, and it's a universal build, so it runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel.

There are two modes. Wiggle nudges the cursor in a small, human-looking pattern. Click areas clicks inside a region you draw yourself, at a fixed or random interval, so the clicks never land on anything that matters. That second one is the part most jigglers don't give you.

It gets out of the way when you're back. Touch the mouse or the keyboard and it pauses straight away, then carries on once you've stopped. You can put a time limit on a session so it ends by itself, send it to the menu bar, and have it start when you log in. There's a dark mode as well.

macOS asks for Accessibility permission the first time, under System Settings, Privacy and Security, Accessibility. Nothing can move the cursor without it. If the permission is missing, the app tells you rather than sitting there looking like it's working.

No account to create, and no subscription. There are no ads in it either.

What it doesn't do: read your files, capture your screen, log your keystrokes or go near your messages. It does send anonymous session analytics, which is app launches, when a session starts and stops, which mode you used, and your operating system and app version. That is tied to a random ID made on your machine, not to you. If the analytics can't be reached, the app carries on regardless.

Version 2.5.0, about 5.7 MB, macOS 11 Big Sur or later. There's a Windows build on the website too.
